Wall Art

Can I just say that I LOVE Thursdays!  Because that means tomorrow is Friday and that definitely is my favorite day of the week.  That means that I'll be getting two full days with Logan!  I sure do love the little guy even though his sleep schedule has been totally crazy this week.  One night he just wouldn't go to sleep, the next he's sleeping through his last feeding and then waking up twice throughout the night to eat.  And last night I thought things were back to normal with only one wake up through the night but then he was up wanting to eat while I was trying to get ready this morning which made for a very hectic morning.  I sure hope he gets this thing figured out.  But on to the post today.  I recently joined Pinterest.  I've heard people talk about it and I've seen people blog about it but until recently I hadn't checked it out.  Needless to say I AM ADDICTED!  There are so many cute ideas for EVERYTHING.  From house decorating to baking to DIY creations, just tons and tons of really cool stuff.  On this site is where I got my inspiration for these two pieces of art that I plan to display in Logan's room.  One I have already framed and hung up, the other I'm still trying to figure out what to do with but I will find a home for it.

I just love doing pieces like these!  They're so fun and just bring something different to a room.  I've been wanting to make something for my bedroom for a while now since the decorative mirrors I had up fell apart and we threw them away after a failed attempt at fixing them.  Hopefully an idea comes up soon.  If it does you know I'll be sharing!  Well I think that's all for this week.  I hope everyone has a great weekend!  Enjoy the weather.

Meredith & Derek

I'm back today with tons of pictures to show you of what I've been up to the last month.  I posted a while back a save the date I did for Meredith & Derek but it wasn't a picture of the finished product so I have that to share with you plus their invitation, rsvp, accommodation card, table numbers, and various other signs they will be using.  This was the first time I did table numbers and etc. so I was pleased with how they turned out.  I hope I get to see pictures of Meredith & Derek's big day to see all my work displayed.  Well let's get started with the pictures.  First up is the finished save the date photo.

Everything was printed on shimmery champaign paper.  Next is their wedding invitation, rsvp and reception/accommodation card.  These were bundled with a band that had their names and wedding date across the front.

I apologize for the terrible pictures again.  I hope to get a nice camera for Christmas this year and learn how to take better pictures of this stuff.  Next are the table numbers and a few other signs I'll explain along the way.

There were 35 table numbers total

These will be cut out individually and used as cake toppers.

I also did escort cards with each guests name and the number of the table they would be sitting at.  Meredith is cutting them out in the shape of a bird so I don't have those to show you, but this sign will be displayed so the guests know to find their names.

Sign for the Reception

This sign will be carried by the Ring Bearer when he walks in.  Meredith will follow.

Sign for the Guest Book.

And lastly here are their programs.  These were Z folded and printed front to back.

Meredith certainly kept me busy the last couple of months but I really enjoyed making everything.  I just love this font too!  So elegant.  I hope you enjoyed these and have a great rest of the day!

Gracie's 1st Birthday

Most Mondays I am just dragging and wishing it was Friday already.  Not that I don't wish it was Friday but I got some good sleep last night thanks to Logan for sleeping 6 hours through, so I actually feel pretty good for a Monday.  The weekend flew by as usual but I still managed to get a few things accomplished and will be showing you the finished products this week.  Today I am showing a 1st birthday invitation for a good friends daughter.  I can't believe Gracie is going to be ONE already!  Time really does fly by with the little ones.  This is going to be a fall themed birthday party that includes pumpkin decorating and a hay ride for the kids.  How fun!  Hope you like it.

These were finished off with a pink ribbon tied in a bow at the top.  They were so cute!  Check by later in the week for the rest of Meredith & Derek's wedding stationary.  I have programs, seating cards, table numbers and more to show you!

Amy & Kyle

Whew it's been a rough morning.  These 3am feedings are draining me, especially when my little one doesn't go down until 10:30.  I pray he starts sleeping through the night very soon.  Thank god my husband and I carpool to work so I can sleep on the way in for now. :)  I now understand that my time is no longer mine, it belongs to Logan.  All I can say is thank god for DVR because all my shows, (yes I watch way too much TV or should I say I did watch way too much TV), are starting this week and next so I will be able to record everything and catch up later.  Anyway today I would like to share the invitation and rsvp card I did for one of my best friends, Amy.  We've been friends since highschool and Amy was a bridesmaid in my wedding last year so I was super excited when her and Kyle got engaged and she asked me to make her invitations.  They are getting married in October and I cannot wait for their wedding!  Their invites were done months ago but I didn't want to post the design before she had a chance to send them out and then I went on maternity leave so that's why I'm just now sharing them.  I just love the colors she chose...

I'm working on her programs now, so check back for those in a few weeks.  Have a great day!

I'm Back!

Hello everyone, if anyone is still out there...:)  Sorry I have been MIA.  I thought I might be able to get a few posts in while I was home with Baby K whom we now call Logan, but no such luck.  He took up all of my time but I enjoyed every minute of it and was very sad to return to work.  It was so hard to leave him but Mom's do it everyday so I just keep telling myself it will get better in time.  Needless to say I am super excited for 5:00 everyday when I walk in the door and see his face.  I just can't wait to squeeze him!  But back to my reason for blogging, invites, programs and logos....here we come.  I've been up to a few things over the past few months and have a few more things lined up for October so I hope to be posting often.  Now on to it.  Probably almost a year ago I started talking about a logo I was redesigning for a local hair salon.  It took a while with the owner being busy with making additions to her salon and several other projects she had going on but I'm excited to say the logo is complete and I'm so happy with the way her business cards turned out.  Here are a few different variations of the logo they will be using.

And here are the business cards.

Well that's all for today.  I hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll be back next week for sure with new things to show you.  Have a good one!

Alternative Solutions Chiropractic & Wellness Coaching

Hi Everyone, today I have a new logo and business card to show you for my sister's chiropractic office.
I mentioned her previously here and here.  She's been working in Fairview Heights for the last 5 years alongside another Chiropractor and decided she wanted to be closer to her hometown and on her own. So come this July her office will officially be open! I'm very excited for her! And she was so kind to let me design her logo and business cards.  So here they are.

Jamie & George Program

Yeah for Thursday and this short week!  I love holidays on Mondays.  I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend.  Mine was pretty good.  Relaxing, did a little work and squeezed some pool time in.  I have another program to show you.  You may recognize it though, it's just like Kathy & Matt's except it has more pages so I used ribbon to tie them together.  The colors are different as well to match Jamie & George's colors.  This was a quick put together because she contacted me a few weeks ago and her wedding is this saturday.  It worked out well that she really liked Kathy & Matt's program and wanted to use the same design.  So Saturday I spent most of the day cutting ribbon, cutting slits in the programs and tieing ribbon.  I think they turned out really cute.  So here they are.

I really need to get better at taking pictures of this stuff...sorry for the dark backgrounds.  Well I hope everyone has a great weekend!  For anyone else counting down with me, 3 weeks from Sunday until Baby K is here!  Hopefully anyway.  I pray I do not go over, mainly because I am so excited to meet the little one. :)

Andrea & Dave's Invite

Wow are you guys in for a treat this week.  Not only did I manage to post two days in a row but today will have two posts!  I just realized I never posted the invitation and rsvp I did for my good friends Andrea & Dave.  And I love them so I can't believe I didn't post them sooner.  Andrea and I met in college and have been good friends since then.  We live about 5 hours a part so we definitely don't get to hang out as often as we liked to.  I was so excited when she asked me to make her invitations.  Her wedding is just a short 2 weeks after my due date so whether or not I will be able to make it is still up in the air but I'm crossing my fingers Baby K will cooperate and come a little early so we can make the road trip.  But enough about that here is the invite and rsvp.  Oh and I forgot to mention they did something totally different with their rsvp.  They wanted it to be a mad lib, how fun!

Kathy & Matt's Program

I did it!  Two days in a row of posting.  I actually remembered to take pictures of Kathy & Matt's program last night. :)  Remembering things has been hard lately.  I know some don't believe it but when you're expecting you tend to forget things and my memory has been terrible.  I barely remember what I did yesterday most days.  But anyway I have the pictures so why wait any longer.  Here is the program!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

More to Come

So I know it's been over a month since my last post and I sincerely apologize.  I have been busy working on two logos, a save the date, an invitation and most recently another program.  I will definitely be posting the finished products when I can.  Some of these will have to wait until later though because I don't like to post the designs until the customer has had time to send out their invites or use their programs.  I do have Kathy & Matt's program but I need to take pictures yet, so maybe tomorrow I will get that one up.  For now, here is a save the date I just recently finished for a couple I went to high school with.  Meredith found this save the date online but it was ridiculously over priced so she came to me asking if I could recreate it.  I was able to download the exact font that was used and I think they turned out great.  They are simple, yet elegant.  I love them so I hope you do too!  These were actually printed on shimmery champagne paper with matching envelopes.

Melissa & Derek Program

Good Morning Everyone!  I have a wedding program to share with you today.  Melissa contacted me a few weeks ago asking if I could design a program for her that she could assemble herself.  I said of course!  I just finished these up last week and emailed her the files so I'm sure she's busy printing, gluing and assembling for their May 21st wedding, well maybe not quite yet, but at least she's close to being there. Melissa had a picture of a program that she liked and I just tweaked it to make it a little different.  Below you will find each individual page and then a picture of what it would look like assembled since I don't have a finished product.  Enjoy!
